Serna defends Estoril Open title without sweat
Estoril, Apr 13: Magui Serna defeated qualifier Julia Schruff 6-4 6-1 to comfortably defend her Estoril Open title on Sunday. The Spaniard was able to take advantage of the under par German who came to the final nursing a thigh injury.

Schruff's game was littered with unforced errors but despite the untidiness of the match Serna was delighted to pick up another title at the Estadio Nacional.
"I was expecting a more difficult match," said Serna. "But no matter how easy it was, I'm very happy to have won.
"I knew it was her first final and she might be nervous. I tried to just stay calm and not let anything bother me."
Schruff, who came into the event as a qualifier, had already exceeded expectations by knocking out top seed Katatrina Srebotnik en route to the final.
