Oak Brook (Illinois), Nov 05: Mcdonald's Corp. reshuffled several senior managers' duties as part of an effort to boost sluggish sales in some international regions. Among the changes, Claire Babrowski was shifted from president of Mcdonald's struggling region for restaurants in Asia, the Middle East and Africa to chief restaurant operations officer.

In the new post, she will head restaurant operations, equipment, development, menu management and training as well as have responsibility for Australia, New Zealand and Canada. Other changes announced by CEO Jim Cantalupo include:

Vice chairman Jim Skinner's responsibilities will expand to include management oversight of Mcdonald's Japan Limited.

Marvin Whaley, a 30-year company veteran, will assume oversight of the Asia-Middle East-Africa region. Mats Lederhausen, previously president of business development, will assume greater management responsibility and focus exclusively on Mcdonald's partner brands as the company decides how to fit them into its overall growth plan.
