Spanish police have arrested a man suspected of bankrolling the al-Qaeda terrorist network in several countries, according to interior ministry sources. The police said Tuesday that they believe Muhammed Galeb Kalaje Zouaydi, alias "Abou Talha", provided large sums of money to the al-Qaeda group, headed by Saudi-born militant Osama bin Laden who is suspected of masterminding last year's September 11 suicide attacks on the United States.
Islamic radicals operating in the Unites States, Saudi Arabia, Belgium, China, Turkey, Jordan, Syria, the Palestinian territories and elsewhere are believed to have benefitted from the suspected al-Qaeda financier's construction and house sales businesses. Bureau Report
