Mumbai: Actress Vidya Balan has come out in support of her colleagues Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Karan Johar, saying they have made not made "irresponsible remarks" about intolerance in the country.
The two Khans and Johar kicked up controversy recently for speaking on the rising instances of intolerance for which they received backlash from some section of the society.
"We all have freedom of expression. Whether you are working in a factory or in films... You should have the right to say what you want to. When you are working in films, you are an actor and when you are popular, people listen to you more," Vidya told reporters at an event here last evening.
The 38-year-old 'Kahaani' star backed her colleagues by saying that no one has made irresponsible statements.
"But no one is making irresponsible statements. I can have an opinion and I can express it. You may find it wrong but as long as I find it right I should be able to express it. You have the right to oppose it that is absolutely healthy," she said.
