New Delhi, Aug 07: Taking the fight against Delhi's Congress government a step further, city BJP unit today submitted a "chargesheet" highlighting "rampant corruption" and "total failure on all fronts" against it to Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani and demanded its immediate dismissal.
A delegation of Delhi BJP MPs and office-bearers led by party unit Chief Madan Lal Khurana also demanded setting up of a high-level commission of inquiry into "grave financial and administrative irregularities committed on a large-scale by the Congress government."
"This government has forfeited the right to continue in power even for a single day," Khurana told after meeting Advani.
The delegation demanded a CBI investigation into the "corrupt actions" of Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit "especially the manner in which the works were awarded for laying sewer lines by the Jal Board in which she, as its chairperson, has been held guilty by the Lokayukta," he said. The BJP unit alleged Congress' five-year-rule in Delhi had been a period of "monumental administrative failure".

"The Delhi government has failed not only in resolving the burning problems of the capital but has also demonstrated a complete lack of political will to address itself to the issues," it charged.

The "chargesheet" listed 18 cases each of alleged "corruption" in the Congress government and "criminal" activities, three cases of "electricity scam" and six incidents of "Jal Board scam". Three cases of alleged corruption in Congress-dominated MCD were also cited.
