TC to boycott remaining part of WB assembly budget session
Kolkata, May 15: The opposition Trinamool Congress today decided to boycott the remaining of the budget session of the West Bengal assembly to protest the alleged `rigging` by the CPI(M) in the recently-concluded panchayat elections and `state-sponsored terrorism`.

Party chief Mamata Banerjee, besides MLAs and MPs were present at the crucial meeting here where the decision was taken.
Briefing newsmen TC leader in the assembly Pankaj Banerjee said party legislators would boycott the remaining part of the budget session beginning on June 26.
The budget session had begun on March five and was adjourned on March 31 till June 26.
Party legislators would also boycott all meetings of committees of the House during the period, he said.
TC MLAs and MPs would be in Delhi on May 27 and 28 to take up the issue of Marxist violence with the Prime Minister, deputy prime minister, President and vice-president. "We will apprise them of how the CPI(M)-led government murdered parliamentary democracy in the state."
Stating that TC would also invite state BJP leaders to accompany them to Delhi, Banerjee said that they would stage a dharna in the capital if time permitted.
