New Delhi: A few days following the shocking gang rape of Ernakulam Law College student, Jisha, social media is going berserk about a statement given out by South Indian actress Priyamani – who appeared in an item song of Shah Rukh Khan's 'Chennai Express'.
Priyamani took to Twitter to share her feelings about the brutal gang rape which has shocked the nation and the tweets that she posted were trolled heavily on the microblogging site. She was even tagged 'anti-India' for speaking up her mind and compared with Aamir Khan (remember that infamous intolerance row).
Priyamani had to later clear her stand on what she said, asserting that she wasn't speaking against India but against the crime.
Here's the thread of tweets posted by Priyamani:
Appalled and shocked to read about yet another tragic rape and murder!i don't think India is safe anymore for women#JusticeForJisha
