New Delhi: Pakistani internet sensation Qandeel Baloch, who was brutally murdered by her brother on Friday, reportedly wanted Indian citizenship. In march this year, the 26-year-old model tweeted that she was disappointed with her own country Pakistan.
Qandeel also tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the social media update in which she expressed her desire for Indian citizenship.
According to a TOI report, originally attributed to an interview just days before her death, she said, "in Pakistan, people are not ready to accept me. It would be much easier for me to work in India."
Qandeel shot to fame in 2014 through her self-promotion and suggestive 'selfies' posted on social media. She also had a soft corner in her heart for star cricketer Virat Kohli.
India please give me citizenship I'm very disappointed from Pakistan @narendramodi @puneetshukla3 #QandeelBaloch
