Mumbai: 'Jai Gangaajal' actor Rahul Bhat has bagged a role in the Chinese film titled 'True Heroes'.
The actor says he was offered a role in the slap stick action-comedy when he was spotted at Cannes Film Festival for the Anurag Kashyap directed film 'Ugly'.
"They saw me in Cannes for 'Ugly' and immediately offered me a film. We went back and forth to finalise the project. And now finally I am on board," Rahul told PTI.
"I play an interesting character called AK who lands up accidentally in China. One thing leads to another and I will be seen taking on the Chinese mob," he added.
Directed by Du Pengfei, 'True Heroes' features actors like Huang Yi and Zhao yi.
"I play a foreigner in the film and will speak in English. I am learning Mandarin on a personal level," Rahul said.
The 38-year-old actor, who made his debut with 'Yeh Mohabbat Hai' before gaining prominence with his role in 'Ugly', says the Chinese stars have less tantrums and are dedicated to the their craft.
"The working is almost the same like a Hindi film but only the Chinese stars have less tantrums and work harder. In the personal space, they give you the best comfort available but when it comes to work they are ruthless."
Rahul said the film will also be be dubbed in Hindi for India release and the makers are currently in talks for versions in other languages.
