Arrest of Mulayam Yadav extended till Oct 15
Lucknow, Aug 19: The Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court today extended stay on investigation and arrest of Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav, in connection with various cases of alleged misuse of the Chief Minister`s discretionary fund, till October 15 next.
Lucknow, Aug 19: The Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court today extended stay on investigation and arrest of Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav, in connection with various cases of alleged misuse of the Chief Minister's discretionary fund, till October 15 next.
Earlier, the court had stayed the arrest and
investigation in cases related to it till August 19.
The bench, comprising Justice Vishnu Sahai and Justice Abdul Matim, passed the order on the writ petition filed by Yadav for quashing the firs relating to the alleged misuse. The counsel for the Uttar Pradesh government today sought a week's time for filing of the counter affidavit and the counsel for the petitioner later urged for four weeks time to file his reply which was allowed by the bench.
