New Delhi, Dec 04: Congress was leading in 21 out 36 assembly constituencies in Delhi from where initial trends were available while BJP was ahead in 13 seats. Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit was ahead of her BJP rival Poonam Azad in the prestigious Gole Market constituency by over 1,000 votes.

Congress candidates in Ambedkar Nagar, Minto Road, Malviya Nagar, Jangpura, Madipur and Sultanpur were also leading. BJP veteran from Sarojini Nagar Ram Bhai was trailing.

The elections for the 70-member Delhi Assembly was held on December 1 and the counting began this morning.
