Chandigarh, Nov 29: A three-day carnival showcasing the colour and vivaciousness of the city of rocks was today inaugurated by Punjab Governor O P Verma. The carnival invited a number of children, including those from slum schools, who enthusiastically participated in a host of contests like on-the-spot painting, mask making, clay modelling and puzzles.
Adding colour to the event were creative floats conceived by the government colleges of the city especially by the students of Art College.
Various folk dances of Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana were presented on the occasion. Bureau Report
