Dacoits kill seven before getting gunned down by police
Siddhartnagar, July 30: Seven people including a woman were killed and seven others injured in Bansi township of the district by armed persons, who were later gunned down by the police in an encounter, police sources said.

The assailants attacked the houses of two employees of State Bank of India last night and killed seven inmates and decamped with booty worth lakhs, sources said.
However, in a prompt action by the police, seven assailants were gunned down between Bansi and Dhayuhi police chowkis, sources claimed adding the looted valuables have also been recovered.
Meanwhile, calling the encounter fake, local residents today lodged a strong protest and indulged in heavy stone pelting and arson damaging three roadways buses, they said adding 40 people were arrested in this connection.
