Bihar PWG chief arrested
Patna, June 11: The chief of major naxalite outfit People`s War Group (PWG) in Bihar Arvind alias Dev Kumar Singh, who carried a reward of Rs three lakh on his head, was arrested here tonight, a senior police official said.
Patna, June 11: The chief of major naxalite outfit People's War Group (PWG) in Bihar Arvind alias Dev Kumar Singh, who carried a reward of Rs three lakh on his head, was arrested here tonight, a senior police official said.
On a tip-off, the special task force of Bihar Police headed by Deputy Superintendent of Police Dilnawaz Ahmed raided a house at Kankarbagh locality of the state capital and arrested ARVIND, Inspector General of Police (administration) Neelmani said.
Three others were arrested along with Arvind but their identities were not immediately available, he said. Arvind was a top ranking activist of PWG in Bihar and the only member from Bihar of the Andhra Pradesh based outfit's central committee, Neelmani said. Arvind was wanted in connection with over 25 cases of naxal-related violence, he added. Bureau Report
