Mumbai: Actor Shahid Kapoor and filmmaker Karan Johar will take the stage as hosts of Zee Cine Awards 2016.
While both have played anchors at various awards shows, this is the first time Shahid will be hosting Zee awards night The 34-year-old "Haider" star said he keeps in mind not to use explicit language while hosting a function.
"I personally do not support usage of vulgar or explicit language on stage. I have never done it before and I always try not to do it. I feel one should be sensitive towards others. Some easily feel bad, others are able to take the joke," Shahid said at the Zee Cine Awards press conference today.
"I think there is a very thin line. At Zee Cine Awards, we will be using nice and sweet words," he added. The "Shaandaar" actor will also perform at the award show. Others who will take the stage to enthrall the audience are Anil Kapoor, who will be performing a solo act after a long time, Sonakshi Sinha and Kriti Sanon.
This year, Zee Cine Awards will also reward regional cinema-- Marathi, Bangla, Telegu. The network has introduced Jury Awards in this edition that will be decided by the panel consisting of eminent names from the industry like Rakesh Roshan, Resul Pookutty, Anurag Basu, Leena Yadav and Shantanu Moitra.
The awards, set to be held on February 20 here, will be televised in 169 countries and world wide on March 5 through various channels of Zee Network.
