Breakups do happen and they are for real. 2016 too witnessed a number of Bollywood couples breaking up. Here’s taking a look at them.

Mumbai: Fans have seen a number of “ideal” couples in Bollywood head to splitsville in the past. Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan’s separation announcement was a rude shock to his fans. None would have ever dreamt of the two parting ways. But it did happen and it was for real. 2016 too witnessed a number of couples breaking up.

Farhan Akhtar – Adhuna

Farhan Akhtar and Adhuna Akhtar, who were married for 15 long years, decided to call it quits in January. They issued a joint statement to announce their separation.

Ranbir Kapoor – Katrina Kaif

Though the two never really admitted to being in love with each other, media was abuzz with the news of them being in a live-in relationship. From flying to Spain for a hush-hush vacation almost about three years back to walking separate paths, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif have seen it all.

Arbaaz Khan - Malaika Arora

Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora issued a joint statement to announce their separation and put all speculations about their break-up to rest. They have been married for over 17 years now. The two by their own admission have taken a break to figure out their lives.

Virat Kohli – Anushka Sharma

The dashing cricketer and Bollywood’s leggy lass were in a serious relationship. Anushka was often spotted applauding Virat’s performances on the cricket field. The star sportsman too would blow kisses from the field. From being so much in love to heading to splitsville for reasons best known to them, Anushka and Virat seem to have grown apart.

Om Puri – Nandita

Veteran actor Om Puri and wife Nandita opted for judicial separation after 26 years of marriage in February. They decided to live separately without going for a divorce with the actor getting rights to visit their son Ishaan.

Raghu Ram and Sugandha Garg

Actress Sugandha Garg divorced ‘Roadies’ fame Raghu Ram after ten years of marriage. The two grew apart and weren’t spending much time together. They mutually decided to end their marriage but are still friends.
