Islamabad, Apr 20: Pakistan is ready to send relief aid to Iraq and to join reconstruction efforts under UN auspices, the cabinet said yesterday
Islamabad, Apr 20: Pakistan is ready to send relief aid to Iraq and to join reconstruction efforts under UN auspices, the cabinet said yesterday
"Arrangements for transpiration of these goods are already in hand for which the concerned organisations are in contact with the United Nations," said a cabinet statement.
Pakistan, which holds one of the 15 seats in the UN Security Council, says the international body should have primary responsibility for Iraq, including its security. It also has called for giving "the right of government to the Iraqi people." Bureau Report
