New Delhi: Bollywood actress Soha Ali Khan who is a compassionate animal lover has voiced her opinion to stop animal cruelty.

The 38-year-old actress told IANS, "We need stronger laws (against animal cruelty) and I believe something has been passed now in terms of animal welfare. I don't understand people who inflict cruelty on animals, who are voiceless, helpless, who are only giving you love,"

"The human race is ... we are the most evil and destructive on this planet. We are destroying the planet and animals," 'Rang De Basanti' actress further added.

She further puts her point across and was quoted as saying, "I have far more sympathy for animals than I do for people and absolutely there should be stronger laws, penalties,"

On the professional front, Soha's flick '31st October' opoosite Vir Das was released this Friday which is based on 1984 Sikh riots.
