New Delhi, Sept 26: Seeking to take the sting out of
BJP's attack on Delhi government following comptroller and
Auditor General's critical remarks about power sector
privatisation in the national capital, Delhi Power Minister
Ajay Maken today claimed it was only a "draft" report by CAG.
The documents which Delhi BJP President Madanlal Khurana
talked about in criticising the Delhi government was a draft
of the report on which CAG had sought some clarifications from
Delhi government, which have been submitted, Maken told
reporters here.
"This is a normal process before a CAG report is
finalised," he said.
Khurana had earlier in the day demanded resignation of
Delhi Chief Minister Shiela Dikshit over the "CAG findings".
"I think it is the turn of Khuranaji to tender an apology to our Chief Minister and people of the national capital whom he has mislead," Maken said.
Referring to the other allegation that CVC had also objected to the privatisation, Maken distributed a press note of CVC where the commission has opined that the procedure followed in the privatisation of Delhi Vidyut board was in compliance with the department of disinvestment. Bureau Report
