Karisma Kapoor's estranged husband Sunjay Kapur alleged that the actress married him for money.

New Delhi: Bollywood's first family the 'Kapoors' are known for their legacy and outstanding contribution to the Hindi film industry. However, what shocked everyone was Karisma Kapoor's estranged husband Sunjay Kapur alleging that the actress married him for money.

After his big revelation, Karisma's father Randhir cleared the air about his daughter's much-talked about divorce saga. He was quoted as saying, “Sunjay "must be trying to impress his girlfriends that he is very wealthy. He might be doing it for his own publicity".

"The whole world knows about the Kapoors and god has blessed us with enough wealth and talent. We can support ourselves for the rest of our lives. We are talented also. So, we don't have to run after anybody's money, especially Sunjay Kapur's," Randhir told a news agency.

He also added, "I'm a typical Indian father and I love my children very much. I'm more protective about my grandchildren. I'm concerned about their wellbeing. I'm only hoping it doesn't get very ugly and affect my grandchildren,".

Karisma married Sunjay in 2003 and has two kids—Samaira and Kiaan Raj Kapoor.
