Raigarh, July 17: As many as 13 bogies of a goods train fell into Hasdeo river from a bridge late last night in the South-Eastern Central Railway, about 100 km from here, railway officials said today. The mishap took place between Korba and Kusmunda railway stations when the 59-bogies goods train, 13 of them loaded with coal, fell into the river at around 0145 hours, they said. The officials did not rule out derailment as the cause of the accident.
They said that although no human life was lost in the incident, the coal stacked in the bogies may have washed out. Senior railway officials, including divisional railway manager of Bilaspur have rushed to the site of the accident. Bureau Report
