Mumbai: Actress Taapsee Pannu who is elated with the praise she is getting for "Pink" touched producer Shoojit Sircar's feet for offering her a role in the film at a press conference here this evening.
Taapsee is one of the leading actresses of the courtroom drama-thriller which has opened to critical and popular acclaim. "I don't know how to do this because I belong to Sikh community and we don't touch feet that much," Taapsee told reporters here at the press conference of "Pink".
Shoojit got quite emotional and teary-eyed at her gesture. Taapsee is now busy shooting her next film "Naam Shabana" which is Neeraj Pandey-produced sequel to her 2015 hit, "Baby".
"The positive reaction to Pink hasn't seeped in yet. It's almost so good that you don't want to believe that something so good can actually happen," she said.
"I have gotten tweets and messages from random people, and not even a single tweet has been average. So many people have messaged me thanking me for doing this role because it has given them a lot of courage," she added.
"The overwhelming response to my role (in "Pink") is too much to handle for my third film," she added.
Co-actress Kirti Kulhari who was present at the event also thanked the producer Shoojit Sircar, director Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury and writer Riteish Shah for giving her this film.
