Lucknow, May 18: BJP president M Venkiah Naidu today blasted Samajwadi Party for "unnecessarily" criticising the UP government on the Amar Mani Tripathi issue, saying Chief Minister Mayawati had taken the "right decision" by ordering an inquiry into the matter. "First, the truth should come to the fore. SP is criticising the government for the sake of criticism," Naidu told reporters here.
Tripathi, state stamps minister, who allegedly had intimate relations with murdered young poetess Madhumita Shukla, was sacked yesterday and a Crime Branch-CID probe ordered into the controversy.
