Mumbai: Yuvraj Singh and Hazel Keech are all set to become man and wife on November 30. The cricketer and the actress, who got engaged last year, are planning to solemnise their marriage in two different styles.
Yes, you heard that right. According to a report in DNA, Yuvraj and Hazel will first exchange vows in a Chandigarh Gurudwara in presence of family and close friends. This will be followed by a Hindu Bihari wedding in Goa.
After their Sikh marriage, the newlyweds and their families fly off to the Teso Waterfront on the Siolim Chapora Fort Road in North Goa. A Bihari Hindu wedding is being hosted by Hazel’s family at the open-air hall/waterfront deck overlooking the riverfront there. It’s a stunning location where the river meets the sea and was personally selected by Hazel. She has booked all seven luxurious air-con tents (rooms) at the boutique resort for family and friends. The wedding (it’s according to Bihari Hindu rites as Hazel’s mom is from that denomination) will be an intimate affair. Hazel has called a few close friends and apart from the two families, only friends will witness the wedding. The couple are deciding whether they want it to be a beach wedding or in the Riverfront hall,” DNA quoted a source as saying.
For the uninitiated, Hazel is half British and Half Indian. Her mother is a Mauritian of Bihari origin.
After the twin-traditional wedding ceremonies, a grand reception will be held in Delhi reportedly on December 7 and as many as 800 guests are expected to wish the newlyweds.
