Sukhbir`s defamation case deferred till Jan 24
Chandigarh, Dec 05: A local court today adjourned till January 24 a defamation case filed by Rajya Sabha member Sukhbir Singh Badal, son of former Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, against Chief Minister Amarinder Singh accusing him of spreading and publishing false reports about his assets and properties.
Chandigarh, Dec 05: A local court today adjourned till January 24 a defamation case filed by Rajya Sabha member Sukhbir Singh Badal, son of former Punjab Chief Minister
Parkash Singh Badal, against Chief Minister Amarinder Singh accusing him of spreading and publishing false reports about his assets and properties.
The case was adjourned by chief judicial magistrate C L Mohal. Both Amarinder Singh and Sukhbir Badal were not present in the court.
The same court on December 03 had fixed January 31 as the next date of hearing in a criminal defamation case filed by the senior Badal against the Punjab Chief Minister.
The case against the Chief Minister was filed by the Badals this year accusing him of "maliciously defaming" the Badal family by publishing in various newspapers "baseless and scandalous" advertisements ahead of general polls in 2002.
The Badals have sought damages to the tune of Rs five crore. Bureau Report
