Ahmedabad, June 30: The Gujarat High Court today dismissed as "premature" two petitions challenging constitutional validity of certain provisions of Gujarat Freedom of Religion Act-2003, passed by the state government in March this year. The division bench consisting of acting Chief Justice J N Bhatt and Justice A L Dave dismissed the petitions filed by All India Christian Council and Buddha Gaya Maha Bodhi Vihar All India Action Committee after hearing the arguments of defence council R D Rawal and advocate general S N Shelat.
