The then Mumbai Police Commissioner, R S Sharma's counsel
had informed Mumbai High Court yesterday that 19 names of
ministers and bureaucrats allegedly figure in the scam kingpin
Telgi's diary and hence the names be made public at the
earliest, Gadkari said in a statement.
He also urged the State Governor to dismiss the state government, adding "the answer to the question as to why the state government was reluctant to hand over probe to CBI, lies in the disclosure in high court yesterday.
The names of beneficiaries will not remain secret for a long time and people of Maharashtra have a right to know who were patronising Telgi and deriving benefit from him, Gadkari said.
