Watchmen of Abhay Bansal`s bungalow held
Nashik, Dec 05: Police has arrested watchmen of the two bungalows here, belonging to Prasun Agarwal alias `Abhay Bansal`, from where foreign currency notes and fake stamps were recently seized.
Nashik, Dec 05: Police has arrested watchmen of the two bungalows here, belonging to Prasun Agarwal alias 'Abhay Bansal', from where foreign currency notes and fake stamps were recently seized.
Anil Jagtap and Mansingh Thapa were produced before a local court which remanded them to police custody till December 10.
On Wednesday, the city police had registered criminal cases against Prasun, his brother Pranay and associate Sharad Shirke in connection with the seizure of currency notes and postal stamps.
Fake stamps worth Rs 73 lakh were seized from one of the bungalows on November 26 and on December 01, police had seized huge cache of foreign currency notes and postal stamps from the other house. The trio is currently in the custody of Mumbai's Versova police. A Nashik police team was likely to visit Mumbai in connection with the probe.
Police had also filed cases against Jagtap and Thapa but they were arrested yesterday.
The currency notes, after examination, were found to be invalid.
