Owner of motorcycle used in American Centre attack identified
Kolkata, May 06: One of the owners of the motorcycle used in the January 22, 2002 terrorist attack on the American Center, today said he had bought it third hand but had sold it after using it for a few months.

Center, today said he had bought it third hand but had sold it
after using it for a few months.
Giving evidence before the special court of P L Dutta in
presidency jail, Ranadip Das said he had bought the motorcycle
from its previous owner Debashis Ghosh, who had given evidence
yesterday.
Das said he sold off the two-wheeler to an used vehicle
dealer Bharat Sau.
He also identified the motorcycle. It had been identified
yesterday by Mukesh Thakkar, a motorcycle rally buff and the
first owner besides Debashis Ghosh who had bought it from him.
The admit card of a High Madrasa examinee, Khurram
Khayaim, one of the suspects in the case and whom the police
were still looking for, was also identified in court.
The admit card had been found from the park circus
Madrasa by the police, when they had gone there
in the course of investigations of the terrorist attack.
Secretary of the Madrasa board identified the admit card.
All accused, including prime accused, Aftab Ansari, were
present in court.
The hearing in the case, being heard on a day to day
basis, would continue tomorrow.
