New Delhi, July 26: Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani today described RSS as a social reforms movement which had influenced the lives of lakhs of people. "There is no other organisation like the RSS. It is less of an organisation and more of a social reform movement. Overall, it has brought about a lot of change in the society and has influenced lakhs of people," Advani said addressing a mammoth gathering at the Talkatora Stadium here to pay homage to former RSS chief sarsanghchalak, who passed away in Pune recently.

He regretted that not enough has been written in the country about the RSS and whatever literature was available were penned by westerners.

Advani said that the best tribute to Rajju Bhaiya would be to imbibe his qualities in one's life.

Speaking on the occasion, vice-president Bhairon Singh Shekhawat credited the late RSS leader with keeping the "entire family" (Sangh Parivar) together.

In his brief address, former prime minister Chandrashekhar said that the late RSS chief influenced whoever came into contact with him and was a "beacon light" who would continue to inspire people.
Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Sangh Parivar top brass, including RSS general secretary Mohan Bhagwat and VHP supremo Ashok Singhal were also present.
