Nashville, Aug 29: Country music icon Johnny Cash is being treated in a hospital for a stomach ailment but should be released soon, a hospital spokeswoman said on Thursday. The stomach problem was unrelated to Cash's chronic nervous system disorder, called autonomic neuropathy, which makes him susceptible to pneumonia and other ailments.
Baptist Hospital spokeswoman Jennifer Jackson said Cash, 71, would be watching the MTV Video Music Awards on television, hoping to win for his music video "Hurt." Bureau Report
