Chandigarh, July 20: Former chief of Punjab police intelligence A P Bhatnagar, has been asked to explain his reported revelation about the disappearance of Rs two crore allegedly recovered from the arrested former chairman of Punjab Public Service Commission Ravinder Pal Singh Sidhu. Official sources said here today that Punjab Vigilance Bureau chief director A P Pandey has asked Bhatnagar to provide the details of the missing Rs two crore so that further action could be taken to bring out the truth. Bhatnagar told a news agency that he was yet to get the letter or any communication. Pandey was stated to be out of station.

The disappearance of Rs two crore had come to light during interrogation of a banker K S Bedi, who was taken into custody by the intelligence bureau. Four senior officers of intelligence wing, including Bhatnagar, were suspended following the revelation.
