Indore, July 19: The NCP would discuss the issue of foreign origin of Congress president Sonia Gandhi and the party's stand over it during its state level conference at Bhopal today. "The issue of foreign origin of Congress president and our stand over it would be discussed during the meeting, which would be attended by party president Sharad Pawar," NCP state general secretary Vishnukumar Sharma told reporters earlier.
"However, the party has so far not diluted its stand over the issue", he said.
During the forthcoming assembly polls in the state, the NCP would have alliance with the like-minded parties to keep at bay the communal forces, Sharma said.
Stating that the party will field candidates wherever its position is strong, he said "we are planning to contest from all the 230 seats". Bureau Report
