Palm Harbour, Oct 31: Fiji's Vijay Singh, the world number two, carded a one-under 70, as did South Africa's Ernie Els. Should Singh win the Chrysler Championship, he will tie up the PGA Tour money earnings title.
World number one Tiger Woods has held that title each year since 1999. Players who finish among the top-125 on the tour's money list after this tournament are exempt for the 2004 season.
Also, players who finish among the top-30 qualify for the season-ending Tour Championship next week
Leading scores from the $4.8 mil Chrysler Championship, played from October 30-November 2 at Westin Innisbrook Golf Resort in Palm Harbor, Florida.
