Israel, May 26: Desperate for drinking water, but what they got was streets
flooded with raw sewage, the aftermath of a six day siege
by Israeli forces in a Gaza refugee camp.
Wary residents ventured out of their homes to a scene of
destruction, torn up streets and demolished buildings.
Israel said it withdrew from the camp after destroying
three underground tunnels used for smuggling weapons.
An operation that left hundreds of homes destroyed and 42
Palestinians dead.
Repair crews rushed to reconnect electricity and water
supplies, what they can't repair is the human damage.
