Oracle still committed to buying PeopleSoft
San Francisco, Nov 25: Oracle Corp. reaffirmed its plan to complete its USD 7.3 billion hostile bid for rival PeopleSoft Inc., Oracle executive vice president Charles Phillips said on Monday in a conference call with reporters and analysts.

"We remain committed to acquiring PeopleSoft," Phillips said, adding that there is "no merit" to the proposition, suggested by PeopleSoft executives, that the deal is dead.
