ASI submits progress report on Ayodhya excavation
Lucknow, June 21: The Archaeological Survey of India, excavating the acquired land in Ayodhya to ascertain whether the demolished Babri Mosque was built on a temple, today submitted its progress report to the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court.

The report gives details of the various artefacts like human figurine and bone pieces found during the digging at the site, sources said.
It also mentions the pillar-base structures recovered and the drains sighted at the excavation site, they said.
According to the report there were structural anomalies in 45 of the 84 trenches dug up at the site so far, sources said.
This is the second progress report submitted by the ASI to the court. It had earlier submitted a report on June 10.
