Venus Williams has topped the WTA Tour prize money list for 2001.
Venus Williams has topped the WTA Tour prize money list for 2001.
The Wimbledon and US Open champion earned a total of $2.5m. Jennifer Capriati was second, with $2.2m, while the younger Williams sister, Serena, banked $2m. Lindsay Davenport, who pipped Capriati to end the year as the WTA`s top-ranked player, had to settle for fourth with $1.8m.
