Jaipur, Aug 24: Fresh from his Pakistan tour, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) president Laloo Prasad Yadav today said that Pakistani Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali has written letters to chiefs of Indian political leaders voicing interest in party-to-party dialogue to bring normalcy in Indo-Pak relations.
Yadav told a press conference here that Jamali had written letters to presidents of Indian parties, including Congress and Left, so that a process of unity be initiated.
The RJD chief suggested that political parties should consider the letter of the Pakistani Prime Minister.
Saying every Pakistani he met was interested in smooth and cordial relations between the two countries, he said, "war alone cannot bring prosperity and it is now an urgent need of the hour to stop this bitterness and start ‘Bharat-Pak eka karo’ as envisaged by Ram Manohar Lohia."
"If India and Pakistan unite, this will have an impact in the entire world," Yadav said.
"A big issue has been made in the name of Indo-Pak conflict. The world has created a Berlin wall like situation which is not the case. This can be changed through more interaction between the people of the two nations," he said.
Yadav suggested film censorship be dropped to help boost exchange of films of the two countries.
