Fribourg, Switzerland, June 07: French side RC Lens and an additional team from the Danish Superliga yesterday became the final two teams to be awarded a place in the qualifying round of the 2003/04 UEFA cup.
Lens and the Danish side, the identity of which will remain unknown until the Danish Superliga season ends on June 22, won their places through UEFA's fair play ranking.

Teams from Ireland, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Switzerland, Norway, Poland, Russia and France were entered into a draw, held before the UEFA under-21 European Championship 2004 qualifying match between Switzerland and Russia.
The nine associations were entered into the draw after their respective national teams gained a fair play ranking of eight or more in UEFA's fair play table.
The ranking score of each association was based on the criteria of positive play, respect for the opponent, respect of the referee, the behaviour of crowds and team officials and the number of cautions and dismissals.

Premier league club Manchester City earned the right to play in the qualifying round of the 2003/04 UEFA Cup on Monday after England finished top of UEFA's fair play table.
