New Delhi, July 11: BJP today ruled out change of leadership in Uttar Pradesh unit asserting that Vinay Katiyar would continue to hold the post of president. "There is no question of changing Vinay Katiyar in Uttar Pradesh," party vice president Pyarelal Khandelwal told reporters here.
In an informal talk with reporters here, Khandelwal said during his recent interaction with party cadres in Uttar Pradesh, some of them had taken exception to BJP minister Rajaram Chaudhury being snubbed by Chief Minister Mayawati. However, cadres in the state by and large felt that the party was functioning smoothly and that the membership drive had been successful, he said.
Khandelwal, who had attended the meeting of the state office bearers in Lucknow, also held interaction with former MLAs and MPs in Gorakhpur to discuss steps to strengthen the party at the grassroot level and also to increase the membership. Bureau Report
