Mumbai, July 31: Three days after a powerful bombblast ripped a bus in suburban Ghatkopar killing three andinjuring 47, police in satellite town of Thane yesterday launched massive combing operation as part of the state-widedrive to flush out terrorists and anti-social elements. The operation has been launched in keeping with the decision of a high-level meeting convened by Maharashtra Chief Minister Sushilkumar Shinde to discuss measures to control law and order in view of frequent bomb blasts. On suspicion, persons may be picked up during the combing operation for interrogation, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime), Amar Jadhav told a news agency. Bureau Report
