Srinagar, Sept 28: With electioneering taking place on a dull note and militants' threats looming large, campaign for the third phase of polling in 27 assembly constituencies in Annantnag, Pulwama, Kathua and Udhampur districts come to an end tomorrow.
Fire-brand vice-president of People's Democratic Party Mehbooba Mufti, CPM leader Mohammed Yusuf Tarigami and two minister in the Farooq Abdullah cabinet -- Bashir Ahmed Nengroo and Skina Itoo -- are among the 227 candidates in the fray for Oct 1 polls.
Annatnag and Pulwama districts witnessed dull electioneering with very few attending the rallies. At some public meetings, there was no attendance at all.
Candidates of various political parties are targeting voters in rural areas like Qazigund, Pahalgam besides other far flung places in the two districts. Incidentally, political parties dared not to visit villages in the higher reaches were militants have a dominance.

Itoo has survived as many as four attacks while NCP candidate from Devsar Khaleeda Mushtaq, is battling for her life.
