Sept 21: Arsenal beat Bolton Wanderers 2-1 with a last-gasp Kanu winner after the visitors looked destined to earn a point.
Kanu bundled the ball home deep into injury time after a David Seaman error looked to have cost Arsenal two points. Seaman was left red faced when Gareth Farrelly's cross sailed over his head and dropped into the net to cancel out Thierry Henry's opener.
But Seaman's blushes were spared thanks to Kanu's dramatic goal in the final seconds as Arsenal extended their goal-scoring run to a record-equalling 46 games. Manchester United needed a penalty to beat Tottenham 1-0 at Old Trafford.
United dominated but had difficulty carving out clear-cut chances, while Spurs' Dean Richards was denied by a superb Fabien Barthez save.
Ruud van Nistelrooy broke the deadlock from the penalty spot after Gary Doherty fouled Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
