Chennai, May 20: State Bank of India, Chennai circle, has received approvals from the Reserve Bank of India for converting 32 more non-banking sub-treasuries into banking sub-treasuries, so that they booked more government business, a top bank official said today. The aggregate business of the circle, both deposits and advances, stood at Rs 24,636 crore, S Krishnamurthy, chief general manager of the circle, told reporters here.
Pointing out that the bank at national level had computerised 3691 branches and was planning to computerise all its branches by march 2005, he said the circle had already computerised 385 branches and remaining 205 branches would be done so by December this year. Bureau Report
