CBS cancels `CSI: Crime Scene Investigation` after 15 years
Network CBS has confirmed that it`s long-running signature drama `CSI: Crime Scene Investigation` will come to an end this year.
Los Angeles: Network CBS has confirmed that it's long-running signature drama "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" will come to an end this year.
The show, which began in 2000 and spawned three spin-offs, will come to an end on September 27 with a two-hour finale, reported Us magazine.
Ted Danson, the show's current star, will continue his role as DB Russell in sister show "CSI: Cyber", while original stars William Petersen and Marg Helgenberger will return as Gil and Catherine for the finale.
The show's other spin-offs, "CSI: Miami" and "CSI: NY" ran for ten and nine seasons respectively before being cancelled. "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" follows a team of forensic investigators based in Las Vegas.
