London, Oct 05: A man at the centre of allegations that a teenager was gang raped in a London Hotel by Premiership football stars told a British Sunday newspaper that four men slept with the girl, but with her consent.
The News of the World tabloid said party organiser Nicholas Meikle admitted that he, two football players and a fourth man had consensual sex with the 17-year-old Catholic schoolgirl.
The teenager has claimed she consented to sex with one player at the Grosvenor House Hotel in Park Lane, Central London, but was then attacked by a group of up to seven others.
Newspapers are unable to print the names of the players allegedly involved for legal reasons but rumours about their identities have flooded the internet and circulated among fans.
Lawyers for some of the footballers have threatened legal action if their names are published.

Meikle told the News of the World that rooms at the top hotel had been booked in the name of England star Kieron Dyer, but he played no part in the events of the night in question, September 26.

Meikle claimed that he and three other men joined the girl "in various combinations", then the next morning they all had breakfast together.

Detectives have carried out forensic tests on items taken from the hotel and are expected to wait for the results before interviewing the players. They are also looking at CCTV pictures.
