London, Sept 21: An Indian who has made Britain his home will be in the forefront when London makes a bid to stage the 2012 Olympic Games. London is in stiff competition with Paris and New York for staging the Olympics that will follow the 2008 games in Beijing.
NRI industrialist Lord Swraj Paul has been included in the board set up to lead London's campaign.
His appointment has been welcomed by the British press with one newspaper saying the composition of the board has won praise especially the appointments of the "hugely influential" Lord Paul and high jumper Dalton Grant.
