Raj HC issues notices in Pak teenager`s case
Jaipur, July 29: Rajasthan High Court has issued notices to the state and the Union government on a public interest writ petition challenging detention of a teenage Pakistani boy who `inadvertantly strayed` into Indian territory last month.

A division bench, consisting of Justice Y R Meena and
Justice Shashikant Sharma, yesterday issued notices on the
petition filed by People's Union for Civil Liberties (PUCL)
contending that the 13-year-old Pakistani boy Muneer was
being detained by police in border district of Ganaganagar
without registering any case.
Meanwhile the police officials told a news agency that the boy was
in police custody since June 26 under the foreigners act and
the Official Secrets Act.
The boy is being interrogated as to how he entered into Indian Territory crossing the border at Piller number 302 in Ganganager district last month.
