Shahabuddin`s judicial remand extended till September 6
Siwan, Aug 25: A local court today extended the judicial remand of controversial RJD MP Mohammed Shahabuddin till September 6.
Siwan, Aug 25: A local court today extended the judicial remand of controversial RJD MP Mohammed Shahabuddin till September 6.
The judicial remand of Shahabuddin was extended by Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Sushil Kumar Sinha in whose court the MP had surrendered on August 13 in connection with four cases including kidnapping and suspected murder of a CPI-ML worker Munna Chaudhary in 2001.
Shahabuddin himself, however, did not turn up at the court as he was indisposed.
The CJM court had after his surrender sent the RJD MP to judicial custody till August 25.
Besides the kidnapping and suspected murder of Munna Chaudhary, the Bihar Director General of Police D P Ojha had ordered the arrest of the Lok Sabha member from Siwan in three other cases including kidnapping and suspected murder of another CPI-ML worker Chotelal Gupta and assault of two senior district police officers.
